Poster:400mm×300mm/Set of 20pcs. Many Ferrari fans will be thrilled to hear the name Garage Francorchamps, or rather Ecurie Francorchamps. Yes, this is the prestigious Belgian dealer team that dominated the circuits from the 1950s to the 1980s with Ferrari sports prototypes such as the 250LM, 330P, and 512.
Jacques Swaters, who had achieved good results in races with his friends since his student days, traveled around Europe in search of a car to enter the Grand Prix in 1952. That's where he came across Ferrari in Modena. Ferrari had been making a name for itself just five years after its founding in 1947, but it was already making a name for itself, so he purchased a 500 F2 from the brand. With that car, he achieved a brilliant victory at the AVUS circuit near Berlin the following year in 1953.
Since then, Garage Francorchamps has built a glorious history as the Ferrari team in Belgium, and is also known as the world's oldest Ferrari importer. The relationship between the two is so deep and strong that the 456GT, which debuted in 1992, was painted Blu Swaters, named after founder Jacques Swaters, as its image color.
Now, what we are introducing here is a set of commemorative posters and a history book produced by Garage Francorchamps itself in 2002 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its founding. Starting with the memorable first victory of the 500 F2, the 20 posters, which show various machines and people that have colored the 50-year history, and the accompanying history book, are filled with the dignity that only Garage Francorchamps, which is not just a dealer but has built a history together with Ferrari, can have.
This commemorative set was produced in very limited numbers for a customer of Garage Francorchamps in 2002, and due to its rich content and high level of completion, it has attracted the attention of collectors around the world. It is a rare gem that tells the story of Ferrari from outside Maranello.
