296Pages/Italian A book born from a collaboration between the Carabinieri and the Alfa Romeo Museum!
To commemorate the long and historic partnership between the Carabinieri and Alfa Romeo, which began immediately after the war and continues to this day,
a photographic collection of exceptional elegance was created in close cooperation with the Carabinieri themselves!
The focus is on a limited number of models that truly embody the era with their military liveries: the "Matta" AR 51, Giulia, Alfetta, Alfa 90, 75, 156, 159,
Giulietta, "Nuova" Giulia, Tonale, and Stelvio, which were the stars of numerous photo shoots set up both at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese and in Rome.
In Rome, various cars were photographed in the capital's most impressive locations.
With additional service set up at the Aprilia Bridgestone European Proving Ground,
the latest Giulia was brought onto the circuit.
However, at the heart of the photographic works lies the history of the nation and its military, tracing its journey through six chapters, beginning with the reconstruction period, through the glory of the "economic miracle,"
through the difficult circumstances of the 1970s and 80s, and culminating in a new phase that characterized the nation's history at the turn of the new millennium.
These chapters were written by Danilo Mollero, head of public relations and press for the Italian Association of Municipalities (ANCI) and a deep expert on Alfa Romeo history, and the photographs of the various "paints" applied to the cars were taken by Lorenzo Ardizio, director of the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese and director of the Arese Archives Center.
The book begins with contributions from three organizations: Minister of Defense Guido Crosette, Commander-in-Chief of the National Gendarmerie Salvatore Luogo, and Alfa Romeo CEO Santo Ficilli. |
